I’ve enjoyed camping all my life, whether it was camping in the sun with my parents in France, wet weekends with scouts or backpacking with friends.

I even spent two summers working and living on campsites in France. I love wild camping and relish the ‘back to nature’ simplicity but now I have kids I appreciate that this isn’t necessarily a family friendly activity.

Over the last few years am I happy to say that I have convinced my wife that car camping with the kids is a quality time spent with the family and not an arduous trial of attrition only made bearable with copious amounts of wine (although wine does add to experience!)
